Medical Leave

I am aware that our company is deducting one day medical leave when we submit the doctor signed medical certification as proof.

I am taken so many medical leave recently because I need to see my chiropractor often. At the beginning, I go for chiropractic adjustment three times a week. I went one day on every Saturday, and I submitted two medical certs a week.

Now, I am going twice a week. I am going to submit the medical cert once a week. I had go for the adjustment more than 3 months and I know this will be a long recovery journey. Anywhere, I believe I can be fully recovered one day.

I wish to submit my appeal to my company for half day medical leave deduction. I only need to take half day to travel for the adjustments and doctor never encourage me to take rest after the adjustments. I back to office continue my work every time after the adjustments.

Even though I still got annual leave balance, but I know I will need that for my future adjustments. The leaves will be finish very fast if I continue my adjustment schedule twice a week.

I wish the management can consider to my appeal.

Happy Father’s Day

This is an advertisement on TV for the celebration of Chinese New Year 2010 from Petronas. This short film is directed by Yasmin Ahmad (January 7, 1958 July 25, 2009) who had won multiple awards both within Malaysia and internationally.

Among her touching films and ads, I like this the most. The story and the feeling are close to me and my life. My dad’s love to us is our world which no one else can replace. This is a good film on media not only for Chinese New Year but Father’s Day as well.

I wish to dedicate this to all of the daddy in the world:

Seed Vault

I am interested to know more when I come across an article regarding Svalbard Global Seed Vault.

I have not thought that there is such a huge project going on until I discovered this. The main aim of the Seed Bank is to protect all the plants in the world become extinct because of foreseeable catastrophes.

The Svalbard International Seed Vault has been built inside a mountain in a man-made tunnel on the frozen Norwegian island of Spitsbergen. It is designed to survive catastrophes such as nuclear war and world war. It is operated by the Global Crop Diversity Trust. A tunnel has been created in a sandstone mountain on Spitsbergen, which is part of the Svalbard archipelago, about 1307 kilometres (812 miles) from the North Pole. The area’s permafrost will keep the vault below the freezing point of water and the seeds are protected by 1-metre thick walls of steel-reinforced concrete. There are two airlocks and two blast-proof doors. The vault accepted the first seeds on 26 February 2008.

Svalbard Global Seed Vault: 50 000 seed samples sent to the Vault – 50k, this is an amazing numbers.

Here is another article I manage to search online – Seeds kept for posterity in Spitsbergen.

It’s no doubt that prevention is always better than cure. For sure the operating cost to run this project is a huge amount. I just hope that there will be no catastrophes happen and all of the human, life and creatures can continue live happily on the Earth….

Earth Hour 2010

Earth Hour – Turned Lights Off for 1 Hour to make stand against climate change. Are you one of the supporter? Perhaps you are!

I did it last year and for sure will do the same action tonight. I had already makes an appointment with my family members to enjoy candlelight dinner and shadow fun tonight. How about you?

This is my Earth Hour lantern to support the 60 Earth Hour. (No good in design…:P)

We all should learned:-

Let’s show our support. A simple actions at the same time (local time) globally. It’s our responsibility to care about our earth. A little efforts today for tomorrow better living.

Love our planet = Love ourselves

Own a house in Ipoh

We went to my sis in law new house before school holiday ended. The house that she brought in Ipoh is so big and the price is much cheaper than in KL. Besides, I really envy she can get good deals with the spending of renovation and the cost of modern furniture in her area.

I think this is the big different living in town. With the higher living cost in town, we feel that everything is cheap in the area out of town. Since it is more affordable compare to own a house in town, buying a house at her area will be considering to include in one of our retirement plan now. Do you think Ipoh is a good place for retirement? :)

15Malaysia

15Malaysia is a short film project. It consists of 15 short films made by 15 Malaysian filmmakers. These films not only deal with socio-political issues in Malaysia, they also feature some of the best-known faces in the country, including actors, musicians and top political leaders. You may think of them as funky little films made by 15 Malaysian voices for the people of Malaysia.

Honestly, I got so much of feeling and thought after watching the 15 films.

The messages from those films are so strong. I did read some comments posted as well. Surprisingly most of the visitors show their best support to all filmmakers.

Politic and race issues are always sensitive. No matter from the aspect of contradictions, misleading, or misunderstanding, I can see all the position messages from those films. The 15 filmmakers had done the great jobs. Well Done!

If you still have not discovered these great films, perhaps you spend some times to watch all of them.

Environmental Friendly Enzyme

What ever we do, we do it for ourselves and our children. If we wish the best to happen in the future, we have to take necessary steps to make sure the best will happen.

Without a good living environment, how can we stay healthily, continue work hard and wait for our dreams come true? Do you have enough long life to enjoy what we wish to?

Perhaps every one pays serious attention to the global warming issue.

Do you heard about garbage enzyme before? If you never heard about this please continue reading to have better idea how enzyme can help to reduce global warming.

If you already know about this, kindly please take action.

Making garbage enzyme at home is as easy as planting a tree. Let’s go green together. This is every one’s responsibility to save our mother nature!

Use Enzyme to Reduce Global Warming

What is Garbage Enzyme?

Dr Rosukon’s Garbage Enzyme is a complex organic substance of protein chains and mineral salts and juvenile hormones.

Functions of Garbage Enzyme

- resolve / decompose
- transform / change
- compose / make up / combine
- catalysis

As a result of catalysis, ozone is produced which can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and this in turn reduces global warming.

This enzyme can be produced easily with the organic waste from our kitchens.

During enzyme production, O3 + NO3 + CO3 are generated and these could help purify and whiten the clouds in the sky. Those clouds that trap lots of heavy metals appear dark. Those dark clouds cause more heat to be trapped on earth due to the greenhouse effect. O3 (ozone) from the garbage enzymes could reduce the heavy metals in the clouds and this would reduce global warming.

More NO3 (nitrite) in the air is useful as nutrients for the plants and soil.

Use Enzymes to Reduce Global Warming

If every household makes and uses enzymes,
it would help tremendously in the reduction of global warming.

Let’s get started. It’s so simple to start production.

Yes. You are right. It looks so ugly. :P
But this is the one help us to produce the best to reduce global warming!

But this is not the end. The Best News is: This garbage enzyme is the wonder cleaner!

I don’t want to paste anymore but I wish you all to hop over to the useful links below to enhance your knowledge about environmental friendly enzyme.

4. PRCH Garbage Enzyme – This is in pdf format which I have saved online. You may download this file and having better idea to get started to produce and learn on how to turn it as wonder cleaner!

My first production will be due on 11.02.2010. Let’s see what more I can do. Stay tune!

Greetings Lesson

I walked by a gift shop just now and stopped by the greeting cards corner. Suddenly I found that this is one of the good teaching materials to my two little princesses.

I walked by a gift shop just now and stopped by the greeting cards corner. Suddenly I found that this is one of the good teaching materials to my two little princesses.

With all the great designs of the greeting cards, I can take advantages to bring my princesses to enjoy the cards designs as well as different occasion with different greetings.

Besides greeting on get well soon; thank you; birthday and Christmas I am actually more interested to educate them those special occasions like father day, mother day, communion invitations, graduation and etc.
I will definitely take the opportunity bring my two princesses to the greeting cards section. Perhaps the shop assistance allows me to start my ‘greeting lesson’. :P

Don’t you think that all those warm greeting are good teaching materials?

Moss Carpet

**This is NOT a paid post**

This bathroom carpet is made of imputrescible foam called plastazote. Each cell welcomes a piece of moss (ball moss, Island moss, forest moss). The humidity of the bathroom and the drops flowing from the body, water the mosses. This vegetable carpet procures a great feeling to your feet.
- Created by Switzerland-based industrial designer La Chanh Nguyen.

Mosses live happily there as long as you shower often enough to get keep it moist while you towel off.

Its designer, Nguyen La Chanh, from Switzerland, says the mat is very relaxing and needs little care. She says: “The idea was to find a new way of having your plants inside.”

Miss Nguyen is looking for financial backing so she can mass produce the mat for less than the £220 it cost her to make.

I love the design and the wonderful idea. More green in bathroom. Not in a pot but on your foot. I hate to wash mat actually and this idea totally solved my problem. :P

The idea is great but do you think this product will be selling in market? Look at the cost already so high. How the selling price will be if the designer managed to get funding to mass production? Perhaps her dream may come true and we manage to get it in the market. Else, I have no choose but to continue to wash my bathroom mat on and on. :(
