We feel so upset when we found that all mom’s jewelry was been stolen. Now all of us learned the importance to get a safe to keep all the valuable items.

Although all the design of jewelry are outdated but that are what she leaved to us. Even thought dad kept all those in his cabinet, he will taken it out and show us and share with some story behind. I especially love those Emerald rings and a pair of gold ring which have my mom and dad names on it.

Not the value we missed but we lost something that full of mom’s memory. :’(

Two little princess not used to sleep early. They will always play with each others, talk non-senses, or scold each others end up time wasted and sleep late.

I asked them go to bed before 9.30pm, but they will wait till last minutes then only go and arrange their next school day class schedule books, then ask for fruits or foods before they really go into their bedroom.

I can tolerant this if this happen at weekends but not weekdays. I had out of idea how to train them go bed on time.

This is special if you discovered. When you visit to Chinese kampong, we will find some houses having special design of address signs.

Special design not means the number plate design so unique but the way how they decorate their address number. The most common is they will put a Chinese word ‘发’ (Fatt) before or after their house number come with number 4.

For example, they will put ‘发’ 4433. Or 3864’发’.

There is a reason why they like to do so. To Chinese, four is something no good. The pronunciation of four is ‘dead’ so to get rid of bad luck, they place the ‘发’ which brings the meaning of good luck to against all the bad luck.

I really don’t know how to describe such action but this is something like ‘Feng Shui’ where it is really depending on whether one believe it or not.

The power of lightning strike break the wiring cover panel on the wall and hit the modem, telephone connector, telephone splitter, ceiling light ballast and Astor decoder.

Internet modem is the most sensitive item when heavy lightning. This is the second time we changed modem due to lightning strike.

Besides, we also been advised do not take shower when raining with thunderbolt. It is a good habit to unplug electric plug when it is not in used as well. After we discovered how strong the lightning strike is, we have to be more precautions.

We will go to nearby shopping mall today. Hubby wishes to buy a new Skull Candy earphone because his existing one was malfunction after accidentally dropped into water. I need him to carry all the stuffs in my grocery purchase list. We will look for trolley school bags for two little princess as well.

Besides, we will go and pay the credit card outstanding at that shopping mall as well. It is truly easy and convenience to have bank machines at shopping mall, where we can settle some transaction at the weekend during our happy shopping hours.

It was public holiday when I contacted Telekom reported for the telephone connection and internet connection failure due to lightning strike. I have been told that my problem will be solved within 48 hours.

Telekom’s contractor came to my house at the next day morning which that day was public holiday as well. At first, he told me that he already checked the telephone box outside and the connections were fine. He came into my house for better understanding of the problem. Then he moved up to the telephone pole at the back of my house to check the connections.

After that, he returned in to my house again, checked the wiring from the telephone pole, test the connector and found that was broken. Besides, the splitter was spoiled as well.

I already knew I have to change a new modem because that was the common problem cause by lightning strike. Since I have one space new modem at home and my brother in law knows how to do the setting, we save the cost for that. I have to pay RM20 for the new telephone connector and splitter which I feel the price is reasonable. For your info, I got a receipt under Telekom letterhead with the mobile contact number of the nice and young Malay Telekom’s contractor. If I still need further assistance, I can direct contact him.

It takes about half an hour to settle my problem. I received a call from Telekom to confirm my connections are back to normal which I believe the call was made from the telephone box nearby but not from Telekom office.

The next day morning (working day) I received SMS from Telekom about their service was done successfully.

My brother in law helped me to do the setting for the new modem, and found that the internet connection was not up yet. He called and lodged another report. The next day, connection was back to normal.

I believe if I pay to the Telekom contractor on the spot for the new setting, the problem will be solved on that same day. He asked for discounted rate of RM80 which I thing I can save on it. I really don’t know the reason behind why it still takes time after the setting be done by ourselves. Anyway, as long as the problem is solved, I am still happy with Telekom prompt service.

It’s time to service my two little princess’s bicycles. Recently they had learned how to bike without the training wheels. They need bigger space to bike so we will go out and let them have fun outdoor.

My princesses are looking to add Kuat bike racks on their bicycles so that we can have a long hours outdoor cycling. This make hubby to consider purchases another two adult bicycles for himself and me. It is a healthy activity to cycling on weekends, isn’t it?

The power of lightning strike was strong. My internet modem, telephone cable and Astro decoder were damaged!

This was happened on public holiday. I had contacted the Telekom and Astro customer service and report had been lodged. How soon can it be fixed? Let’s see how fast their service is!

This is a good lesson learned. If electrical items not in used, do have a good habit to unplug it.

Overnight with younger princess in hospital is a nightmare for both of us. She was so weak when she admitted. She kept complained about the cool air condition in ward. No only she felt the cool but me who is healthy enough also need to wear extra to avoid too cool and fall sick.

Not only parent who taking care of their children wearing jackets and long sleeves even some nurses also wear extra. I can not stand for the cool especially in the night time. I do have my Mexican blanket with me but still feel the cool.

Nurse explained there was patients ware fever so can not turn up the temperature in ward. But my princess who was fever also can not stand for the cool although she got two blankets. Nothing much we can do but drink more warm water…

These are the medicines taken home when the day younger princess checked out from hospital: -

1. Paracetamol 250mg / 5ml  100ml (Progesic) – 1 bottle (new)

2. Ibuprofen 100mg / 5ml Syrup 60ml (Nurofen) – 1 bottle (new)

3. Paracetamol 250mg Suppository (Poro) – 3 pcs

4. Promethazine 5mg / 5ml Syrup 60ml – 1 bottle (balance) & 1 bottle (new)

5. Hyoscine Butylbromide 5mg / 5ml syrup 100ml (Dhacopan) – 1 bottle (new)

6. Salbutamol 2mg / 5ml Syrup 60ml – 1 bottle

7. Cefurixime Axeil – 1 bottle

Younger princess enjoys her every meal likes usual on the day she checked out. She has no fever but still a bit cough. Doctor told me to continue the cough medicine and antibiotic. Appointment will be 1 week later.

Pharmacist explained that the first 3 medicine are for fever, then Promethazine for vomit, Hyoscine Butylbromide for stomach pain and Salbutamol for cough.

I am query why so many medicine? My princess was no more fever, vomit and stomach pain already but why still gave us such medicines?

The reason I can think of are: -

1. To ready for my princess fall sick again
I am so worry if this is the reason! This mean my princess will back to fever again and might need 2 type of Paracetamol then will be seriously continue fever and need the Ibuprofen!
To play safe, better give patients all the necessary medicine? Is it means that I can be doctor to give her medicine if she back to fever again and no need doctor further advise until the fever medicine finished? (NON-SENSE!)

2. This is every hospital practice. To make more sales and more profit, pharmacy in hospital can be one of the profit centers. (I do hope I am wrong!)

3. Because the bill paid by Medical Insurance Company. Since the cost not comes from the patient directly, patient will not complain the cost of discharge is high due to extra medicine.

The 3rd reason made me more comfortable but I do hope that is not true also!
