Challenging Life
What is the basic requirement to be an executive? I ask myself this question after my department head employed three executives for our department.
I hardly agreed with my department head thinking. This batch of new staffs is recommended by existing staffs in related companies. She did explain to me that she aware of the urgency of staff replacement. As long as they are committed to work under the job scopes she has informed during the interview session, she willing to give them a chance to try.
One of them is previously account assistance. Now with the executive level, she has to handle full set of account.
Second one is a businessman after graduated. Now he assigned to in-charge of all the matter related to customer service.
Third one previously working at executive level but the job he handled now is not directly related to his expertise.
Three of them start work about a month. Generally I am disappointed with their performance. I don’t wish to complaint them one by one but this is really comes to my limit and even my existing colleagues are complaining.
Three of them become burden to the existing co-workers because they can not perform well. We spend time ‘training’ them more than we spend time doing our own job.
All my works get stuck. I have a strong feeling my department is sinking.
Life is so challenging!
